The National Campus and Community Radio Association is looking to take on a project that is essentially a online system that will assist in using Roberts Rules when at an AGM or planning meeting, to help streamlining discussion and voting. What we are looking to develop in brief is the following.....
Hello NCRA members!
We are very excited to announce that we have two brand members joining us at the association, we have CKAW - FM, Clearview Community Radio, in Clearview, ON. We want to welcome Sandra Green to the Campus and Community radio community! We've been hearing great things about CKAW and suggest you all go check them out! http://www.clearviewcommunityradio.org/
We are also welcoming CHOQ-Online, a francophone online campus station in Montreal and are attached to UQAM. We are thrilled to have them on board, and looking forward to some great partnership moving forward. CHOQ has a great international project they do each year around radio production, so watch for that information in the next little while about how you can get involved". Dont get CHOQ (UQAM) and CHOQ FM (UofT) mixed up, they are different stations. http://www.choq.ca/
We would like to invite our members to welcome members number 90 and 91 to the NCRA!
The CRTC recently made a decision to decline the creation of a radio station in Burlington. The Commissioner Raj Shoan issued a dissenting opinion. The NCRA staff have pondered what that opinion could mean for C/C radio in the Burlington area.

Thanks to everyone who tuned in and participated from across the country. We had a great pannel at Algonquin college and were thrilled to have stations like BOIR in Corner Brook, NL to CJSF in Burnaby BC (plus inbetwen), re-broadcast the show live. Thank's to Dan at CKDJ for hosting and organizaing, and the rest of the team there for putting on a great alternative discussion to the election on the 19th. Great work overall.

We were able to get the great work done by Nshannacappo and Ebuchanan translated into French, so we are now releasing the story about a man remembering the time he was 5 years old and taken away to a residential school. Read More

We’re recruiting for an Indigenous Representative on the NCRA/ANREC Board of Directors. In addition to executing his or her responsibilities as a Director, the role of the Indigenous Representative is to be a voice for Indigenous people and Indigenous radio at the national level, in the work of the NCRA. In accordance with the NCRA by-law provisions (Section 4, 1.17, b, v.), the Indigenous Representative must be from the First Nations, Métis, or Inuit peoples of Canada.
The Board would like to thank Larry Portelance, who previously held this position, for his years of service.

Dear Members;
After the conference in Saint John, the Board struck a committee that was tasked to review specific complaints submitted by members, and make suggestions to the Board of Directors with a best course of action going forward. From there, the NCRA Board of Directors would receive the recommendations of the committee, and look at the necessity to develop policy and procedure to better serve the association and its members.....
