Youth Liaison Coordinator*
● Young Canadian identity project - specifically targeting youth in surrounding
neighbourhood and work with community partners to engage and tell the stories of new
Canadian youth, youth in care, young people living with a disability and/or youth in the
justice system.
● Facilitate workshops and assist with production/help to produce these stories.
*You must be able to pass a Vulnerable Persons Screening Check for this position
To apply for these positions, you must be:
● between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
● registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year;
● intending to return to school on a full-time basis during the next academic year;
● a student in a secondary, post-secondary, CEGEP (Quebec only), vocational or
technical program;
● a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has
been conferred under the Immigration
Qualifications:
● Previous experience as a volunteer or employee in community media or other
not-for-profit environments.
● Some media production experience and familiarity with audio editing.
● Excellent cross-cultural communication skills.
● Comfortable using social media.
● Outgoing, friendly and reliable.
● Excellent problem-solving skills
30 hours per week at a minimum $14.00 per hour for a term of 8-10 concurrent weeks between
June 1 and August 31 depending on the position. Exact dates and pay TBA.
