CJTR has been on the air since November 2001, broadcasting 24 hours per day, 7 days per week
on a local FM signal, by webcast (www.cjtr.ca), and through regional entertainment services.  
Our content includes a variety of programs of alternative and non‐mainstream music, as well as
spoken word programs.  All our live programming is produced by volunteers.   
CJTR is an independent community‐based radio station with 100% own‐source funding from
advertising, listener support and fundraising projects.
The successful candidate for Executive Director will have strategic management experience
with capacity to advance our organization’s strategic plan and contribute to its ongoing
development.
You will be a known leader who excels at engaging others while striving towards organizational
goals and strategies.
You will be highly adaptable, able to recognize and respond to changing circumstances and
adapt approaches and tactics to deal with issues effectively.
You will be effective at networking and relationship building, establishing and maintaining the
relationships that correspond to current and future needs of the organization.  

Duties of the Executive Director will include:
• Support for the Board of Directors and Board Committees;
• Management of strategic plan implementation and development;
• Strategic management of on‐air content and on‐air volunteers;
• Management and development of revenue strategies and budgets;  
• Management of fulfillment of regulatory and license conditions; and
• General administration of a small office and staff, and large volunteer resource
