Local 107.3 FM is hiring a self-identified female youth intern (between the ages of 16-30) to work as our Women’s Programming Coordinator. The intern will help existing staff and volunteers in the recruitment, training, and empowerment of self-identified female volunteers. The intern will work to expand our training and recruitment efforts in order to more quickly integrate women volunteers into the training process and to outreach in particular to young women in high schools and the Greater Saint John community.

The intern will host a radio program of their own design focused on women: music, topics, guests, etc. In theory, the program will focus on bringing attention to matters by, about, and in relation to women, but the actual content of the program will be designed with a relative amount of freedom of expression by the intern. The intern will also work with other programmers to include more women’s issues and content into their programs.
