HIRING: VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

CFRC is hiring a Volunteer Coordinator to support station management in volunteer recruitment, data management, training and coordination. This position runs from September 29 to May 1, with a time commitment of 20 hours per week at a wage of $12 per hour.

Responsibilities include:
-Working with other staff to recruit and train volunteers
-Working with the Business Manager to support CFRC's presence at on-campus events that feature volunteer outreach opportunities
-Collecting and processing volunteer application forms for fall and winter recruitment cycles -Tracking and filing documentation related to volunteer intake and training, including application forms, training checklists and volunteer agreements, and data entry into the station's membership database
-Working with other staff to maintain and update the membership database, which includes sensitive volunteer information.
-Contacting volunteer applicants regarding training and maintaining an organized list of attendees for the training sessions
-Administering registration, sign-in and paperwork for volunteer training sessions
-Working with the Programming Manager to coordinate Mentoring with new volunteers and Program reviews with current programmers
-Working with volunteers to encourage participation and engagement in areas identified by staff as needing additional support.
-Following up with volunteer programmers who have not paid membership fees and ensuring that volunteers are aware of renewal dates.
-Contacting volunteer members regarding important upcoming CFRC meetings and events. -Updating CFRC’s internal LIST-SERV by adding new volunteers to the list and removing those who have requested to be taken off.
-Acting as a first point of contact for volunteers and volunteer applicants.
-Fostering a positive and supportive environment and maintaining good communication among CFRC volunteers and staff
-Participating in weekly staff meetings and maintaining consistent office hours

The ideal candidate for this position will have:
-Experience or interest with data entry and database management
-Experience or interest with volunteer recruitment, training and coordination
-Experience or interest with campus and community radio broadcasting
