About Local FM
Local 107.3 FM (parent company: Campus Radio Saint John Inc.) is hiring a Spoken Word Coordinator with support from the CRFC’s Radiometres program. This position offers a high- level of flexibility but also requires an individual that can provide necessary evening and weekend support.
Local 107.3 FM is a non-profit, volunteer-driven, campus-based community radio station located on the traditional, unceded, territories of the Wolastoqey, Peskotomuhkati, and Mi'gmaq Peoples, and is based out of the UNB - Saint John campus.
Primary responsibilities:
● Development & support of a spoken word collective.
● Creation of spoken word resources/FAQs/guidebooks.
● Providing advanced skills workshops for Local FM members
● Collaborating with Programming Director to increase locally reflective, locally sourced spoken word content.
● Curating creative submissions for publication in Distortion - a local arts & culture zine produced by Local FM.
● Contacting and coordinating with community partners for live and/or remote broadcasts and promotion.
