The Corus Entertainment Radio Program provides an opportunity for emerging female talent to work and learn in an applied setting with leaders in the sound industry.
Two candidates (one producer and one audio engineer) will be accepted into this program, working as a team to create radio programming for and about The Banff Centre during the Banff Summer Arts Festival, which involves over 1,000 artists and presents over 200 events from May to September. International faculty and guest artists will be available for interviews and sound clips can easily be collected from our many performance and recording venues.
This program will:
• Accelerate the careers of Canadian women as radio producers and broadcast engineers, training the next generation of female leaders in the broadcast industry;
• Offer mentoring from experienced faculty including a workshop with a leading producer from Corus Entertainment;
• Provide access to the training and workshops of the summer audio engineering program;
• Provide access to professional facilities necessary to produce quality cultural programming.
Requirements
Applicants must submit a resume, two letters of recommendation, samples of recent work, and a statement of career objectives.
Additional Information
All costs, including tuition, meals, accommodation, and travel expenses, will be covered by a Corus Entertainment scholarship.
