CIVL is being funded to operate a $50,000 video and music recording project from September 2018 to August 2019.

The position applied for here will oversee and coordinate in advance of live performances in conjunction with station and project staff, and administer the technical operation of sound engineering and recordings during these live music performances. This series, and the accompanied recordings, will serve to promote the station and preserve the performances for posterity, as well as being promoted outside of our network.
Under direct supervision of CIVL Station Manager, the successful applicant will:
- Communicate with bands, venues, promoters, and volunteers in order to:
- Provide sound technician services, and record performances of all project bookings
- Clarify and prepare all technical requirements in advance of live events
- Oversee volunteers in support of all event recording and production during this project
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of basic recording techniques and able to learn various sound/editing equipment/software
Ability to multi-task, problem solve, think critically, and work with a wide variety of diverse people
Experience directing volunteers and other colleagues in supplementary roles
Comfortable receiving and providing constructive feedback to improve results/participant experience
