
The Programming and Volunteer Manager, in collaboration with the Programming Committee, supports the people and oversees the content of programming on Kootenay
Co‐op Radio (KCR).
Responsibilities include:
● Overseeing the daily logistics of on-air programming and the training, supervision and evaluation of volunteers /programmers
● Ensuring regulatory compliance and programming diversity at KCR
● Organizing special events and special programming, as required.
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications include:
● Strong knowledge of Co-op Structures, working with a Board of Directors, Committees and a membership base
● Knowledge of the campus and community radio sector in Canada, including relevant CRTC regulations
● Comprehensive knowledge of best practices in radio programming
● Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
● Strong community networking skills and the ability to foster collaboration
● Understands competencies needed for leadership, management and coordination
● Highly proficient with computers, music/studio equipment and technology
Wage: $18.00/hour
