CJSW is currently looking for a Program Director to handle all on-air operations of CJSW Radio, one of Canada's most established campus and community radio stations.
The Program Director is responsible for maintaining the quality of programming and overall sound of CJSW according to CJSW's programming philosophy and CRTC regulations. This includes the training, selection and supervision of all on-air volunteers; maintaining the daily program logs and scheduling of on-air traffic; developing new programs and coordinating special days of programming (such as International Women's Day, Black History Month, CJSW Funding Drive, etc.) as well as other duties.
We are looking for someone who has a thorough knowledge and appreciation of all aspects of campus / community radio, from non-commercial music to news and spoken word programming. Experience being on-air, supervising volunteers, copywriting and production, a progressive attitude and good stress management skills are a must. A post-secondary education is an asset.
