Outreach Coordinator (Queen's Work-Study)

HIRING: OUTREACH COORDINATOR (QUEEN'S WORK-STUDY)

CFRC is hiring an Outreach Coordinator to raise the profile of the station on campus and in the community. This position runs from September 22 to May 1, with a time commitment of 5 hours per week at a wage of $12 per hour.

Responsibilities include:
-Increasing CFRC's visibility on campus and in the community by coordinating circulation of CFRC's program guide and other promotional materials to campus and community groups and events.
-Promoting volunteer and training opportunities at CFRC to recruit new volunteer applicants.
-Promoting CFRC's services, events and activities through regular social media updates and posts.
-Recruiting broadcast programming content from non-profit campus and community groups to be used in Public Service Announcements (PSAs) about their campaigns and services
-Monitoring email and working with staff to act on relevant outreach opportunities
-Supporting CFRC's Student Outreach Committee and attending Committee meetings every 2-4 weeks

The ideal candidate for this position will have:
-strong oral and written communication skills
-self-motivation and an ability to work as part of a team
-familiarity with social media platforms such as Wordpress, Facebook, Twitter and Youtube
-experience with community radio, community outreach initiatives and/or non- profit organizations
