From June 6 to June 10, 2011, over 100 community radio practitioners from across
Canada will gather in Halifax for the 30th annual National Campus and Community
Radio Conference (NCRC). It will be a week of learning skills and sharing ideas hosted
by CKDU-FM.

CKDU is hiring a Sponsorship and Registration Coordinator to work with the staff
collective and a volunteer planning committee to plan and execute a successful NCRC.
The position begins on March 14, 2011 and continues to June 30th, 2011.

Duties & responsibilities:
· Attend weekly meetings with the Conference Planning Committee
· Maintain regular office hours on CKDU-FM's premises
· Work alongside and share duties as needed with the Logistics Coordinator
Under supervision and leadership of CKDU staff and the conference planning
committee:
· Coordinate design and printing of conference program guide
· Solicit national, regional and local sponsorships in support of conference,
including contra agreements for suppliers
· Coordinate registration process for conference participants
· Coordinate general promotion for NCRC, including media releases,
advertisements, social media & networking.
· Help create and follow conference budget
· Complete accurate record keeping (sponsorship contracts, registrations, invoices,
grant reporting requirements)
· Complete a final report on the conference

Qualifications: 

Experience and/or skills desired:
· experience or applicable skills in promotion, fundraising or coordination of events
· good communication skills
· good organizational skills
· experience working with a team in a volunteer environment
· computer skills: basic office, basic layout & design, social networking,
information systems or databases
· knowledge of community radio & CKDU
