
CIVL has received a grant from the Community Radio Fund of Canada to produce a music awards show that will take place in a significant Abbotsford venue and will recognize dozens of artists from across genres in August 2016.
The FVMA Coordinator will be directly responsible, under supervision of the station manager, for all aspects of the research, preparation, planning, promotion, coordination, execution, and completion of the Fraser Valley Music Awards, and associated local music compilation.
This will include:
Coordinating and working with volunteers and committees (Compilation, Nomination/Adjudication, Events, and Promotions), soliciting feedback and providing opportunities for current and new volunteer feedback and engagement.
Further developing and adhering to timelines and work plans as approved in the grant application
Soliciting sponsorship and partnerships from external organizations and people who support the Fraser Valley Music Community
Promote attendance, nominations and any required voting for the FVMA’s/CIVL’s Compilation album
Coordinate adjudication tenets, participants, rewards and process
Ensure that all necessary licenses and regulations are adhered to regarding the awards production and compilation release
Direct operations on site at Fraser Valley Music Awards in August 2016.
