About the Project
The Environmental Radio Project Coordinator will be preparing special environmental programming and coordinating “Under the Weather: Climate Change Research and Justice”.
Under the Weather is a McGill Sustainability Project Fund & Radio CKUT year-long monthly broadcast speaker series on McGill campus and in the community. Lectures focus on research, causes and impacts of climate change and climate justice actors, with a priority on presenting McGill members and alumni.
Tasks & Responsibilities
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the monthly broadcast speaker series including, securing venues, researching and booking speakers, online, radio and poster promotion, packaging and distributing podcast of speaker series, making partnerships, finding co-sponsors, working on funding initiatives with the Funding Coordinator, budgeting. The Project Coordinator will also be responsible to coordinating and creating environmental programming for CKUT.

environmental movement and/or research • event coordination • promotions • working as a volunteer or with volunteers • building an online social media presence • project management • time management • working independently • campus-community radio
Other desired qualifications include:
knowledge of local environmental justice groups and issues of climate change • bilingual fluency • experience with budgeting • graphic design • self-motivation and a willingness to initiate projects •

This is a part-time (14 hours/week), contract position.
Wage: $11.50/hour
