Creative Dialogue Project Manager

CIVL has been awarded $50,000 by the Community Radio Fund of Canada to complete the Creative Dialogue Project.

Ending in June, 2017, this project will pay volunteers to engage in content production, interview collection, and story telling workshops, as well as to take part in a promotional speaker series, where programming developed by volunteers will be presented to the public ahead of broadcast on 101.7 FM.

The Creative Dialogue Project Manager will manage this project.

The successful applicant will, under direction of CIVL's station manager, and according to the approved grant proposal:

Coordinate curation and contracting of workshop presenters
Coordinate recruitment and payment of volunteers and interview subjects
Coordinate curation and contracting of speaker series guests
Coordinate promotion of all project related activities
Coordinate purchase of recording equipment as approved by the grant
Cooperate in creating group work/lesson plans
Be responsible for scheduling and booking all workshops and presentations
Assist in the scheduling of volunteer production and supplementary training time with full time CIVL staff
Coordinate all group events, workshops and promotional opportunities on site

Qualifications: 

Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience mentoring, teaching, or training others
Familiarity with social media
Demonstrated project management skills
Appreciation and understanding of story telling mechanics
Ability to work effectively in groups
Comfortable working within tight timelines
Capable of being flexible, managing a diverse range of objectives, personalities and tasks
Experience working around issues of cultural diversity anti-oppression is an asset
Experience in media an asset
Experience in non-profit work an asset
Graphic design skills are an asset

Salary:
