
The National Campus and Community Radio Association (NCRA) will hold it’s 36th annual conference in Abbotsford this coming June.
The NCRC will see approximately 100-150 volunteers, staff and board members from stations across Canada visit Abbotsford between the 6th and 11th of June, participating in workshops, keynote presentations, an awards show, social events, and the Annual General Meeting of the NCRA. During this time, CIVL will be responsible for operating an average of 4 different rooms during each of approximately 4 time slots per day, wherein workshops/panels will take place, needing various translation, technical, and other services, under coordination of CIVL’s Station Manager and Work Study.
Under direct supervision of CIVL’s Station Manager
- Serve as main contact point for volunteers, delegates, and guests in advance of and on-site during
NCRC36
- Administer all finances, fees and payments at and for NCRC36
- Coordinating all volunteer operations on site at NCRC36
- Updating CIVL/NCRA/NCRC Social Media throughout NCRC36
- Coordinating Safe/Alcohol Free Spaces during NCRC36
- Maintaining contact with food service providers daily during NCR36
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to Multi-task
Ability to cooperate with a wide variety of people from different cultural backgrounds
Ability to positively represent CIVL and the NCRA to delegates, volunteers, and guests
Experience leading volunteers and staff in a group setting
Proven ability to problem solve/adapt to immediate challenges as they come
Understanding of safe spaces, inclusive environments
