CJNU 93.7FM - Nostalgia Radio - is Winnipeg's Community Radio station. As a not-for-profit co-operative, powered almost entirely by volunteers, CJNU works hard to 'accentuate the positive'. The station acts as a platform for sharing stories from across our community, amplifying the work being done by charities, non-profits, arts and cultural organizations and community groups. This positive attitude blends perfectly with great nostalgic music not heard elsewhere on the radio dial, with a particular focus on the 1950s through 1980s. CJNU targets a discerning audience of listeners aged 50 and better, a vast and important audience of 250,000 people in the capital region of Manitoba.
CJNU has been awarded a grant by the Community Radio Fund of Canada to undertake a special one year project entitled Sounds Like Winnipeg: Past, Present and Future. This project, which coincides with Manitoba's sesquicentennial in the summer of 2020, will highlight those in music, arts and culture in our community who have made an impact in our past, are making waves today, and will be the successes of the future. To lead this project and carry forth this vision, CJNU requires a Project Manager.
