Description: 

The National Campus and Community Radio Association/l'Association nationale des radios etudiantes et communautaires (NCRA/ANREC) is hiring a bilingual Regulatory Support Coordinator for the summer.

This position is funded by the Department of Canadian Heritage's Young Canada Works program and will provide assistance to NCRA/ANREC members and other campus and community radio stations on the relevant regulations established by Industry Canada and the Canadian Radio Television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC).

It involves working with campus and community radio stations across the country, researching regulations and then producing simple and clear written and audio materials to help stations and their volunteers.

Qualifications: 

The ideal candidate for this position is:
*Fluently bilingual in written and spoken French and English.
*Interested in community radio and media regulations.
*Skilled in internet research, writing for the web, word processing, layout and audio digital editing.

To be eligible for Young Canada Works employment, candidates must:
- be between 16 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.
- be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident, or have refugee status
in Canada.
- be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- have been a full-time student (as defined by his or her educational
institution) in the semester preceding the YCW job.
- intend to return to full-time studies in the semester following the YCW job.
- be registered in the YCW on-line candidate inventory.
- be willing to commit to the full duration of the work assignment.
- not have another full-time job (over 30 hours a week) while employed
with YCW.

Salary: 

The position is for 35 hours a week for 7 weeks, from July11-August 26. The wage is $15 an hour.
