Join the dynamic staff team at Kootenay Cooperative Radio in beautiful Nelson, BC this summer and learn about broadcast journalism (audio editing, broadcast writing, reporting, and production). In the course of the 12 week contract (June 5 – Aug 25), you will report on several community events/celebrations and be responsible for organizing a radio day camp for 9-16 year olds (4 separate weeks including 1 week in French), recruiting participants and leading the day-to-day operations of the camp. Kootenay Coop Radio is well known for its involvements in the community and the quality and diversity of its programming. We are looking for a responsible and creative individual with experience working with children and/or teenagers.
