
HIRING: ARTS COORDINATOR (QUEEN'S WORK-STUDY)
CFRC is hiring an Arts Coordinator to facilitate broadcast coverage of arts and culture on and off campus. This position runs from September 22 to May 1, with a time commitment of 5 hours per week at a wage of $12 per hour.
Responsibilities include:
-Facilitating production of weekly radio programming highlighting the work of local artists in the visual and performing arts
-Developing and coordinating a collective of volunteers involved in the production of arts programming
-Promoting CFRC's arts programming through social media updates and posts. -Increasing CFRC's visibility on campus and in the community by coordinating circulation of CFRC's broadcast schedule and other promotional materials to arts groups and organizations.
-Working with arts organizations and groups on and off campus to produce Public Service Announcements (PSAs) about their campaigns and services
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
-strong oral and written communication skills
-self-motivation and an ability to work as part of a team
-familiarity with social media platforms such as Wordpress, Facebook, Twitter -experience with community radio, volunteer coordination and/or the arts
