About CJLO: Formed in 1998 as a merger between CRSG and CFLI, two former stations, CJLO is Concordia University's one and
only radio station. One-hundred percent non-profit, and run almost entirely by volunteers, the station is located in the heart of the
Loyola campus in the NDG borough of Montreal. CJLO offers a wide variety of programming that truly encompasses the styles
appreciated by all of Concordia's 45,000 students and by a wide range of other communities around Montreal. CJLO also hosts
events throughout the city to help promote and support the community and musicians.
Mandate: CJLO’s mandate is to provide innovative and alternative radio programming that enriches and challenges the academic
and cultural life of Concordia University and Montreal communities, and to provide members with the opportunity to participate and
gain skills and experience in the collective operation of a radio station whose programming and practices are not constrained by
demands for profit.
Mission: CJLO’s mission is to empower and celebrate the diversity of Montreal and Concordia through innovative, non-commercial,
community-oriented radio programming and broadcast learning opportunities.

the year. The coordinator is also expected to liaison with the off-campus community by preparing the monthly community newsletter,
