New Members - CFMU, The Cove and Vernon Community Radio Society make 108

Hello Everyone

we are thrilled to announce the approval of two new / one returning members at the latest board of directors meeting.
Please welcome:

106 - Gord and Vernon Community Radio Society, BC -
not-for-profit community radio station to serve Greater Vernon with original local programming. Content not now heard on local radio!

107 - James and The Cove FM - Hubbards, NS -
We serve the greater St Margarets Bay/Hubbards/Chester Areas.  Ours studios are located in Hubbards and our transmission facilities are located on the top of nearby Aspotogan Mountain. Our legal call letters are CKVE-FM. We are a class A FM station, transmitting at a power of 1080 watts ERP with our antenna at 150 metres above average terrain. We offer a mixed music format that includes pop, rock, country, folk, blues, jazz, bluegrass, East Coast, and many other genres by both well-known performers and indie artists. Our signal reaches west to the outskirts of Bridgewater and east to the outskirts of Halifax covering a population of approximately 50,000 people

108 - Sandeep & CFMU Hamilton, ON
Welcome back to CFMU in Hamilton, CFMU 93.3 is “Redefining Radio In Your Community.” We use that phrase because it re-enforces our broad relevance and reflects a revitalized commitment to our mandate. We are a public meeting place for many voiceless dimensions in our society - local cutting-edge artists and musicians, marginalized groups, multicultural families, and people with a keen social conscience. Our broadcasts stand independent of corporations, sponsors, advertisers, and political agendas. CFMU is comfortable with risky subjects that need attention - leadership in today’s issues and tomorrow’s art is our job. CFMU is listener-supported radio - supported by those who recognize that diversity and local programming are more crucial than ever. Yet we are more; we are also supported by those who utilize us and their community voice. Without the support of the community we serve, we will not be able to provide that community with a voice, truly the only open and independent voice in the city.

A big welcome (and just in time for annual returns) to the three new members!  If you know of a group or station looking for support, please do not hesitate to connect us!  It is what we are here for (well and serving you)
