CKOL-FM in Campbellford, ON started broadcasting on July 1, 1992 and is a 500 Watt community powerhouse, with a repeater in Madoc.

They have have community news broadcasts three times a day, a station van they use to broadcast live from special town council meetings and also just started play-by-plays of the two local hockey teams: the Norwood Vipers and the Campbellford Rebels.

But one of their most popular programs is the daily memorial at 12:30, where they announce who has recently died in their community and honour their lives.

Station Manager Dave Lockwood has been there since the beginning and just built the station a new porch. He was also featured in a recent article about the NCRA's Ontario Regional conference, here: http://www.thewhig.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=2135818

They joined the NCRA in part because they are looking to expand their broadcasting hours soon so want to share programming with other members. Welcome to CKOL!
