Mitch Berriman first started calling the NCRA around the end of 2008, hoping to start an online campus and community station at Acadia University in Wolfville, NS.

Then April 10, 2010 -- thanks to a grant from the student union and some alumni support -- Axe Radio launched, playing "What is love" by Haddaway from the "A Night at the Roxbury" soundtrack. They had 56 listeners at their peak. Now they're up to about 25 volunteers and have live programming noon-10pm every day.
